We will be starting with the introduction to the materials and tools used in copperplate calligraphy, including paper-positioning, pen grip, and posture. We will then focus on drills and warm-ups, including fundamental lowercase strokes before diving into lowercase letter formation. We will end the session with some handy tips and tricks that I have learned over time and a discussion of queries or questions you might have.
The class will be kept small so we can discuss questions and queries better. By the end of the class, you will have a better understanding of lowercase copperplate calligraphy and will have the confidence to continue practising this wonderful art form at your own pace.
